From a pallet to craftroom

The challenge over at Crafty Ribbons this fortnight is 'Anything but a card'.

I received a handmade 'trug' for Christmas, this was made by my Dad from an old wooden pallet. he made a few as gifts , some of which he and Mum filled with potted plants, or homemade chutney (again by Dad). mine was empty but ready for alteration!

So here is the before picture........

So with some Modge podge (Matt) and papers from Papermania 'Blueberry Hill' I set to work, then I added lots of ribbons (all Crafty Ribbons - tape measure, satin and ribbons from bargain bags). I then decided to add buttons, pearls and gems to the edges. I finished with a ribbon rose - there are some great tutorials on you tube.

This has been decorated in colours to match my craftroom. now I just need to decide what to put in it!
I will enter this into the following challenges;

CRAFT - recycling
Creative whispers - Anything goes
Fab N Funky - Button it
Crafting by Designs - Anything goes
Inky Chicks - Anything goes
Craft Your passion - Anything goes
Not just cards - Anything goes
Order of the Opus Gluei - Anything but a card
